Strong Girls Use Their Resources!
Are you looking to try something new this year? Solo travel? Camping? Kayaking? Rock Climbing?
Maybe you just need the courage to take yourself out for dinner.
Whatever the new BRAVE, INTIMIDATING thing is that’s facing you, Strong Girls Travel is here to support you. You can hop over to my story to read why this page is so important to me. Check out the links below for great resources that have helped me and other women I’ve connected with. My hope is that these will be educational and motivating for you to get out of your own head, out of your own way, and ready to define your own adventure.

Maddy Marq, Midwest Adventurer
Talk about a wealth of resources! Maddy’s blog is a treasure trove of helpful advice, travel guides, recommendations, and real-life experiences. Maddy is one of the most down-to-earth gals I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. She helps to make places like the “unattractive Midwest” and the “often ignored” Upper Peninsula attractive, accessible, and new items on many girls’ bucket lists. Connect with Maddy’s blog today or follow her on Instagram!
Women Hiking Wisconsin Facebook Group
What a great resource of ideas, connections, and challenges to help you get outside and learn more about yourself! Join the group, then watch for events, people looking for hiking buddies, or recommendations of places to explore.
April Scheel, Hiking With Obstacles
I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing April for the original Strong Girls Travel article series. Now I consider her a pal and cheerleader. (I’m tickled pink to be in her corner as well!) April is one of the most kindhearted and inspirational people you’ll ever meet! Read her story of working to hike Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail with cerebral palsy on her GoFundMe page or follow her posts & adventures in the Ice Age Trail’s Facebook group!
Road Trip Her Facebook Group
This is a spectacular group by solo female travelers for solo female travelers. Make connections, find safe places to stay, and utilize their interactive map to plan smart, strong choices to your next road trip.
National Park Service
If you’re looking for solid resources for your National Park adventures, be sure to stop first at the NPS site. They have printables, external links, maps, and information enough to plan your next trip. And the NPS app is a spectacular resource, able to have areas downloaded prior to traveling off grid.
